Congrats to the winners and another great year of Fantasy Fooball! I will update this page and other pages as soon as I can, so we can all start planning for Year Four in our Keeper League.

2016 Winners:
1st Place - Ace in the Hole ($275)
2nd Place - Dirty Birds ($200)
3rd Place - Ponder This! ($150)
4th Place - Total Mayhem ($125)
Toilet Bowl - Harvsdogs ($55.50)

Reminder this year it was $80 entry ($75 for payouts, $5 for trophies and shipping) and all waiver movements were $0.25.

A few things to note going forward.

• Clarification on keeping players for three years in a row... This applies if you kept a player. If you didn't keep them, but drafted them, that doesn't count.

Thanks everyone for the quick responses. Everyone has selected what players they are keeping. You can view the list here: Keeper Players.

Reminder: Be sure and mark these players off your draft cheatsheets. For drafting players, we will be using Yahoo Messenger again. I'll have mine open in the evenings the next two nights if you need to test it. I plan to be ready to start inviting people a half an hour before draft. Talk to you all on Thursday at 7:00 (MST)!

Draft Date: 25 Aug at 7:00 (MST). This gives the people in the Pacific time zone enough time to get home and hopefully not too late for those in the Central Time Zone. Thanks all for the quick responses on dates.

Reminder: A few things to note going forward.

• We won't be picking Rookies this year. It didn't generate the excitement I was hoping for last year, so decided not to continue this part.
• Kickers will no longer be part of the keeper leagues. It added zero value for majority of players and can be just drafted.
• Clarification on keeping players for three years in a row... This applies if you kept a player. If you didn't keep them, but drafted them, that doesn't count.

NOTE: I hope to get the rankings from Yahoo in next week. One thing to note, once the rankings is put up, if the player gets injured, this list WILL NOT reset. So if a player you choose to keep gets injured before season starts, his cap number will not change. It's vital we get a draft date decided so we can have the choosing the players completed the week before and hopefully no/minimal injuries happen between the dates.

Draft Dates

It seems every year we struggle to find a draft date that works for everyone. I'm hoping we can nail it down early, so we can all schedule it. Let me know what dates work.

Ideally, I would like to draft either Monday, September 5th (Labor Day evening) or Thursday, August 25th (evening)

Keeper League Rules:

1. Third Season of Keeper League (5 Years). Everyone has already agreed to commit for 5 years.
2. All teams can protect a max of (5) players; but no player can be kept more than (3) years in a row.
3. Can't keep any TEAM DEFENSE or Kickers, all other players are open to keep.
4. Drafting future years; kept players will be ranked using Yahoo's Ranking for the new year. This leaves it generic and out of one person's hands.
5. CAP Room for Keeper Players will be 299pts.
   • Top 150 Players (excluding DEF/Kickers) - Point rankings will be ranked as follows: 1st - 150pts, 2nd - 149pts, 3rd- 148pts, ... ... 148th - 3pts, 149th - 2pts, 150th - 1pt.
   • If you want player that isn't ranked in the top 150, his value is worth 1 pt.
   • Again, max players you can keep is (5).
6. Draft order for future years; Reverse order you finished in; you pick the draft number you want that is available. (i.e. Finished 10th; you can choose any of the 10 spots; 9th place, picks from remaining 9 spots; etc.)
7. Every year, beginning of August, I will grab the rankings and post values on the website. These values WILL NOT change up to our draft day.
8. At least one week before draft, you will decide what players you are going to keep so I can prepare the drafting software, and others can prepare their draft according to players that won't be drafted and players that will come off the 3 year terms.
9. Trophies for 1st place.

Yahoo League Setting Changes (2016) - NO Changes to scoring for 2016!

1. Injured Reserve (IR). Reason if you lose a keeper player for the year, you can still maintain him without losing him. Lose two or more, you must choose to either keep on your bench, or drop them. By adding this, you basically can hold on to one more player if injury occurs, doesn't have to be your keeper to use it.
2. Passing Bonus - 325 yards = +5 (Was 300 yards)
3. Rushing Bonus - 125 yards = +5 (Was 100 yards)
4. Recieving Bonus - 125 yards = +5 (Was 100 yards)

Costs / Fees

1. $80.00 per team. ($75.00 for Winner Payouts / $5.00 to pay for trophies and shipping)
2. All player movements cost $0.25 and that money goes to toilet bowl winner. (Avg 25 movements) - winning go to Toilet bowl.

Pay Outs

1. 1st - $275.00
2. 2nd - $200.00
3. 3rd - $150.00
4. 4th - $125.00
5. Toilet Bowl - Money from waiver/trades

A few things that need to be said:

1. Life happens, and sometimes plans can change. If someone absolutely can't continue to play, let me know, and we will find a solution.
2. If someone drops out and they have to be replaced, I have a few people that really want in the league; best case scenario that person coming in would take the person's spot.
3. How do we prevent someone from dumping players and losing on purpose to get the 1st pick the next year? The Commish's call. If I see it, you will be kicked out of the league. We have all been playing together enough years, we know how each person plays. We are committed to a keeper league for the improvement of the league. No need to sabotage it. So I'm keeping it simple... If you want to keep playing and maintain the friendships, then don't do it!
4. Mass hording players to prevent another person from picking up is not a strategy, it's playing with the bad attitude, and will be stopped.
